How iKILLER Works
iKILLER works by using a physical mode of action, blocking the breathing holes of Spidermites and insects causing death by suffocation.
Any insect eggs are unlikely to hatch due to their encapsulation within the medium and their obvious inability to transpire successfully into adulthood.
Simply shake and use the ready to use (RTU) formulation.
Mix concentrate at 25ml of iKILLER to 1 litre of water, shake and use, spraying all surfaces of plant at the first sign of damage with a fine mist. iKILLER can be used from seedling through to harvest.
What is a Spidermite?
Spidermites are a gardener’s foe. Considered a serious nuisance outdoors and on houseplants, this pest is tough to see until plant injury occurs. Spidermites congregate on the underside of leaves, sip on plant fluids and remove chlorophyll. Visible signs include webbing and white or yellow speckles on leaves; defoliation occurs in severe cases.
Spidermites are less than 1mm in size and can vary in colour. They lay small, spherical eggs which are initially transparent and many species will spin webbing around the eggs to protect them from predators.
Spidermites are normally more prevalent in hot, dry conditions. Spider mites can hatch within 3 days, mature in as little as 5 days and the female spider mite can lay up to 20 eggs a day and live to around 4 weeks. This means one mature female mite can spawn a population of a million spidermites within a month.
